What people wear?
People wear different clothes in different season. Clothes make people feel warm, comfortable and good-looking.
If you go out on a fine summer day you will see women and girls in bright summer frocks. Some wear light blouses made of cotton or silk and skirts. Both boys and girls like to wear shorts and T-shirts. When it`s hot men have jeans or light trousers on with shirts or T-shirts. At home we wear slippers.
When it is a little colder people put on their blazers, jackets, sweaters and pullovers made of wool. Ladies wear tights and stockings and men socks.
When it is raining we must put on overcoats and raincoats, hats and caps. Some people carry umbrellas and wear rubber boots.
In late autumn and winter we change our shoes and trainers for boots and high boots. Ladies put on costumes and men suits and ties. Warm coats and fur coats, scarves and gloves, fur and knitted hats and caps make us warm in frosty weather.
Many people have to wear a uniform at work. They are policemen, postmen, doctors, shop-assistants, pilots, train conductors and others. Some years ago schoolchildren had to wear a uniform too, but they don’t have to any longer.
